Terms of use

These terms are between you and [COMPANY NAME] (“DTSwap”, “we”), registered in [England and Wales], company number [NUMBER], registered office [ADDRESS].

What DTSwap does

DTSwap helps UK learner drivers who have a DVSA car practical test booked find another learner who wants to swap test slots. We show you slots that meet DVSA’s swap rules, help you match and plan a call day, and show each of you the other’s booking reference on that day.

DTSwap is an independent service. It is not affiliated with, or endorsed by, DVSA or GOV.UK. We never contact DVSA or use its booking system for you. Only you can change your booking, by phone with DVSA. DVSA decides whether a swap goes ahead, and we can’t guarantee that it will.

Who can use it

You must be [17] or over, live in the UK, and have a DVSA car practical test booked in your own name. You must sign up with the mobile number on your DVSA booking and give accurate details of your test. [Solicitor: confirm minimum age.]

Your responsibilities

  • Check with your driving instructor that they can make the new date, time and centre.
  • Only use the other learner’s booking reference to make your swap with DVSA.
  • Never ask another learner for, or give them, a driving licence number, theory test certificate number, address, phone number, email address or payment card details.
  • Turn up to calls you agree, or cancel in the app as early as you can. Missed swaps count against your account.
  • Don’t create fake listings, harass other learners or try to get round our checks. We can suspend or close accounts that break these terms.

Membership and payment

Adding your test and seeing how many swaps are available is free. Swiping and matching need a membership, which costs £2.99 a month and renews until you cancel. You pay through the App Store, Google Play or Stripe, and their terms also apply. You can cancel any time; your membership then runs to the end of the period you’ve paid for. Our liability

Ending your account

You can delete your account at any time in the app (Account, then Delete my account). We may close accounts that break these terms.
